INSTRUCTIONS

PLUMB Plastering Mortar for General Block, fined texture(MA-II) is designed for plastering on red block, concrete block, and white block. Smoother plastered surface due to fine sand. Contain water retention agent preventing water loss. Higher adhesion compared to regular mixed mortar. Good bonding strength and reduced cracks thanks to fiber added. Soft and smooth texture, easy to plaster.

Preparations

Use a wire brush or broom to remove dust from the wall surface. Apply water evenly to the block surface 1-2 times (for red block and white block). Or wet the block surface evenly 1 time (for cement block). Wait until the surface absorbs the water and becomes slightly dry before plastering.

Mixing

Mix 1 bag of plastering mortar with 7.8-8.0 liters of water, or 2 cement buckets. Mix the plaster thoroughly until it forms a consistent texture without lumps. 1 bag of plaster weighing 40 kilograms can cover an area of 2.4-2.6 sq.m at a thickness of 1cm.

Machine Mixing

Use a electric mixer and mix for 3-5 minutes until the plaster is consistent without lumps. Set aside the mixture for 5 minutes to allow the chemical reactions. Mix again before plastering.

Hand Mixing

Use a trowel tothoroughly mix the plaster until it forms a consistent texture without lumps.Set aside the mixture for 5 minutes to allow the chemical reactions. Mix again before plastering.

Plastering

Apply a plaster layer with a thickness not exceeding 1.5 cm. Begin by applying a thin scratch coat with a trowel, then apply additional layers to achieve the desired thickness.

Plastering on Concrete Structures (Column-Beams)

Prepare the surface of the concrete structure before plastering by applying adhesive mortar onto the concrete to roughen the surface. Leave for 1-2 days (the adhesive strength depends on the surface condition, the type of adhesive and chemical used, sand mixture and the surface roughness). Or use a trowel with notches size between 3-6 mm to scratch the surface. Wait until the mortar sets, then proceed to plaster over with PLUMB Plastering Mortar for Lightweight Block (adhesive strength greater than 2kg/sq.cm)

Mixing mortar for plastering on concrete surface must be mixed to a thicker consistency compared to wall plastering (recommended to use less water because plastering on concrete surface structures takes longer time for the plaster to set).

For the first coat, apply a thin layer of plaster, approximately 1-1.5 cm thick. Wait until the plaster slightly sets, then add additional layers of plaster according to the desired thickness. Follow the same steps and details as wall plastering, until complete all plastering processes.

Precautions

– Once mixed with water, it is recommended to use  within 1 hour – 1 hour 30 minutes. – Contained  cement, may cause irritation if it comes into contact with skin or eyes. – Rinse eyes thoroughly with water if irritation occurs and seek medical attention.

Storage

Keep in dry and shaded area. – 3 months of shelf life.

Suggestion

Proper usage and mixing of mortar help reduce the risk of cracks. Lifting the mortar in a proper posture can prevent muscle strain and injury.
